| Summary | 0000087: decoder quits when partitions are missing (duplicate frame_num in short term ...) |
|---|
| Description | In some cases where a partition is missing in the data partitioned H.264 stream (RTP format), the decoder stops after a certain number of frames , and displays a message :
"duplicate frame-num in short-term reference picture buffer".
This seems to be the result of partition A data, in one of the previous frames.
|
|---|
| Additional Information | I tried different loss ratios and patterns, and for the file that I encoded (120 frames), the decoder always stops after 65 frames, regardless of which partitions or frames were lost. The only exception is when NO partition A data is lost. I attached some sample files that can be used to regenerate the problem. The encoder setting file is also attached. |
